Kim K is becoming an apprentice?!

As I was scrolling through the BBC News website a couple of weeks ago - something I try to do at least once every day, I came across an article that really took me by surprise. Kim Kardashian has revealed that she has started a four year apprenticeship programme with a law firm in hopes of becoming a lawyer.

Despite my age stereotype, I don’t keep up with the Kardashians (pun intended). In fact, I don’t watch much reality TV at all because I often find myself cringing!

Although my knowledge of Kim K is very limited, she never struck me as the type to enrol in an apprenticeship programme. Don’t get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for her and her family in the way that they have built their own brand, Kim alone has an estimated net worth of $350m.

The entire Kardashian family have immense drive and passion for what they do which translates into sales and success that they have all had. Which is why the idea of Kim becoming an apprentice surprised me.

Regardless of her age, Kim is returning to education to fulfill her ambition of becoming a lawyer and I can’t but take my hat off to this amazing 38 year old business woman.

My hope is that this story inspires other people - regardless of their age, to get on board with an apprenticeship and begin their own career path in a profession that they enjoy and have a passion for.

I also hope that Kim K can help combat the stigma that apprenticeships have and make people realise that they are a legitimate way of getting into a career.
